Consortium for Business sponsors new HCPA training awards

Members of the Letchworth based Consortium for Business achieved considerable success at the recent Hertfordshire Care Providers Association (HCPA) Gala Awards.

New Generation Services, a specialist provider to the consortium, won the prestigious External Training Provider of the Year Award 2011. The organisation offers Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care and training courses in Health and Social Care for employers and individuals.

Flexible Training, another member, had two successes: Peter Woolnough, the organisation’s administration manager, won the HCPA Ancilliary Employee of the Year Award whilst Hayley Day, a Personal Care Assistant Apprentice who won Apprentice of the Year Award, was trained by the company.

Lynn Simmons won the Learning Champion of the Year Award. Lynn was nominated by the Consortium’s Key Account  Manager, Wayne O’Brien and undertook her specialist workplace training with North Hertfordshire College in Letchworth.

The Consortium was also proud to support this first ever awards ceremony from HCPA and sponsored the drinks reception and the Apprentice of the year award.
