NEBOSH General Certificate Occupational Health and Safety
This Level 3 programme is designed to enable candidates to gain a long-established national award in health and safety management. Anyone who plays a part in managing health and safety in the workplace would benefit from this course. This Certificate is a necessary qualification for safety officers and for those with responsibility for health and safety as their main job role. Candidates do not need any previous H&S qualifications to enrol.

IOSH Managing Safely
This programme has been developed to address the information needs of people with some health and safety responsibilities, but who are not experts in this field. This Level 2 course has been designed for people in an organisation with some responsibility for managing risk and resources. The course aim is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to manage safely and effectively in compliance with both their own organisation’s health and safety policy and with recognised best practice in H&S.

CIEH Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace
All employees should be aware of their own safety, and that of customers and contractors in any environment. On completing this qualification, candidates will be able to understand the principles of accident prevention and the importance of risk assessment as a technique for accident and ill health prevention.

CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of Practice of Risk Assessment
This course will benefit individuals who are responsible for conducting risk assessments in the workplace. On completion a candidate will be able to complete risk assessment in their workplace (further specialised training may be required for specific environments). They will be able to assist their employers in meeting legal requirements by identifying specific training needs and, through putting together an action plan of activities to improve Health & Safety standards within their organisation.

This qualification is aimed at those who carry out manual handling at work, introducing candidates to the risks of manual handling and the controls available. This course is appropriate for all employees who handle materials, boxes, mail and packages including both industrial and office workers.On completing this qualification, candidates will be able to identify the hazards of manual handling. Identify the risks involved and the controls available and identify what is expected from a manual handling assessment.

This qualification is aimed at those who are responsible for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) at work, introducing candidates to the inherent risks in substances and the controls available.This course is appropriate for all employees who use substances hazardous to health in manufacturing, cleaning,healthcare, transport, utilities and offices. On completing this qualification, candidates will be able to identify the hazards associated with those substances, identify the risks and controls available to deal with the substances and, identify what to expect from a COSHH assessment.

Refrigerant handling for mobile air conditioning: new law now applies
ALL Mobile Air-Conditioning (MAC) technicians working with cars and vans MUST hold a refrigerant handling qualification meeting the European Union F Gas regulations.
Make sure you can continue to do business after this date attending one of our special one-day training courses. Successful candidates will achieve the IMI Level 3 Award in Automotive Refrigerant Handling - and receive a certificate confirming they comply with the new regulations. We are one of the few training providers in the area offering this essential qualification.
To enrol for the course candidates should have a sound knowledge of Climate Control and Air-Conditioning and, also be up to date on the legislation affecting this area.
