Claim up to £1000 for leadership and management training

Managers and owners of small to medium sized businesses can find it hard to identify appropriate development solutions to improve management skills - let alone access the resources to support it.
 
With a new scheme, employers* can benefit up to £1,000 of grant support for leadership and management training. The first £500 of funding does not require a contribution from the employer and is aimed at directors,
leaders and senior managers. The subsequent £500 must be 'match funded' by the employer, however; this is available for senior members of the management team.

To qualify for funding for leadership and management training, an organisation must:

  • Be based in the East of England region
  • Employ at least five but fewer than 250 staff - or volunteers
  • Not have accessed any previous training funded by this scheme since October 2007
The funding can be put towards the cost of a range of personal development options including accredited training (an MBA or Diploma, for example) or non-accredited development (e.g workshops/seminars, coaching/mentoring or continuous personal development).
